From Academy Award®-winning director Brad Bird (The Incredibles) and the amazing storytellers at Pixar Animation Studios comes Ratatouille, the original comedy about one of the most unlikely friendships imaginable. The film's protagonist is a rat named Remy (Patton Oswalt) who dares to dream the impossible dream of becoming a gourmet chef in a five-star French restaurant. Undeterred by the obvious problem of trying to make it in the world's most rodent-phobic profession, not to mention his family's urgings to be satisfied with the usual trash-heap lifestyle, Remy's fantasies are filled with flambés and sautés. When circumstances literally drop Remy into the Parisian restaurant made famous by his culinary hero, Auguste Gusteau (Brad Garrett), Remy finds the one thing he needs, a friend to believe in him: the restaurant's shy, outcast garbage boy named Linguini (Lou Romano). Remy and Linguini form the most improbable partnership that will turn Paris upside down, leading them both on an incredible journey of comical twists, emotional turns and the most unlikely of triumphs, which they could never have imagined without each other. Ratatouille brings to life a wide-ranging roster of memorable characters with a voice cast that includes Patton Oswalt, Brian Dennehy, Brad Garrett, Janeane Garofalo, Ian Holm and Peter O'Toole.

This is a cute story about a rat named Remy and his adventures with humans. He has to discover who he can trust or who will betray him. His unlikely friend is a teenage boy named Linguini, who cannot cook, but gets pulled into a job at a high-rated restaurant, and finds Remy sneaking around and adding stuff to the soup that Linguini is supposed to be cooking. They then help each other and try to keep the secret from the others, because it could end up closing the restaurant. But when Linguini falls for one of the cooks, Colette, the chef finds out something shocking about Linguini's past, and Remy's family comes back looking for him after several weeks of separation, and disaster strikes the restaurant, can Remy figure it out, or will Gusteau's have to shut down? And what about the top critic in France coming to their restaurant? An overall very cute movie with lovely French music and a great lesson of teamwork.
  • Cute but odd

    By apples are everywhere!
As I have watched this movie so many times for som many years.. I just now realized that linguine is very clumsy and slightly slow .. he ended up wrecking his dads business for a rat . If his dads friend just kept it it would have never went down in flames. Even his mom knew that , just wanted him to get a plain job and not to know his dad was a famous man .. crazy.... even cost a cristic his job too .... gee!
