Trust, identity, and the danger of unchecked power push a covert operative to the edge in director Mark Williams' intense action thriller Blacklight. Travis Block (Neeson) lives and fights in the shadows. A freelance government "fixer," Block is a dangerous man whose assignments have included extracting agents out of deep-cover situations. When Block discovers a shadowy program called Operation Unity is striking down ordinary citizens for reasons known only to Block's boss, FBI chief Robinson (Quinn), he enlists the help of a journalist (Raver-Lampman), but his past and present collide when his daughter and granddaughter are threatened. Now Block needs to rescue the people he loves and expose the truth for a shot at redemption. Nothing and no one is safe when secrets are hidden in Blacklight.

Somewhere beneath the cheesy dialogue and odd characterization is a better movie.
  • Ridiculously bad

  • Not good but not terrible

I rented this because Liam is in it, sadly this one is is not good. Illogical at points and badly acted.. more a subliminal message for American politics and anti government
  • Routine elevated by Neeson

The plot is predictable and a lot of the film is cliche, but Neeson is game as always for some stand out action sequences including a smash and crash car chase and a deadly game of heavily armed cat and mouse in a mansion. It makes some attempts at government conspiracy and secret directives but you’ve seen it before. What does work are the character ticks Neeson adds to the character including an element of OCD and paranoia and his bond with his granddaughter. Worth a rental for good action and to watch Neeson take down bad guys.
  • Actually, very cool & fun.

Liam’s movies recently have been a bit tough to watch given the expectations of being used to Taken and such….but this film….we’ll worth the rent if you like him. Good movie 👍🏻

I knew from the opening of this movie that it was gonna be one horrible cliche after another. I’m usually a fan of Neeson’s films, but this one wasted 2 hours of my life that I’ll never get back.
  • Hypocrite

He is anti-self defense with a fire arm yet all his movies all full of fire arms. Unfortunately, he never learned anything from the scripts he read. One thing you should learned from your scripts is no police can protect you after 911 call and that is if you are lucky. You are left to defend yourself against the criminal till the police get to your place. 10 to 20 minutes can feel like a lifetime.
  • Liam neeson hypocrite

An obvious cash grab. No one cared about this movie. Insulting. Boring. I think the director needs directing lessons.
